How to browse anonymously without a VPN?
I want to keep my online activity private without using a VPN. I’ve heard proxies can help, but I’m not sure how they work or if they’re safe. What’s a good way to start?

Proxies can hide your IP for anonymous browsing, though they don’t encrypt like VPNs. Pick a reputable provider with secure servers to avoid leaks. A solid choice is an ipv4 proxy Buy IPv4 individual proxies | Wholesale prices , which offers dedicated IPs for better privacy. Check for high uptime and fast speeds. For extra safety, stick to HTTPS websites and avoid sharing sensitive info while proxied.

Yeah, proxies can be a decent start if you're avoiding VPNs. I’ve been messing around with a few, and honestly, go-proxy.com/en is super easy to use—no installs, just straight-up web-based. Great if you just want to browse without trackers all over you. It’s not bulletproof, but for light privacy, it does the job.

Re: How to browse anonymously without a VPN?
I spent months trying to browse anonymously without a VPN—using public Wi-Fi with just a proxy felt like locking my front door but leaving the window wide open. Proxies can mask your IP, but they don't encrypt your traffic, so your internet service provider still sees everything. I learned this the hard way after noticing targeted ads based on unencrypted searches. That's when I finally switched to a proper VPN service. I actually found a good deal for Surfshark VPN through couponcodes store, which made the decision easier since privacy tools can get pricey. Now my connection is encrypted from start to finish, and I don't worry about snoopers on coffee shop networks. If you're serious about privacy, combine Tor browser for sensitive stuff with a trustworthy VPN for everyday browsing—proxies alone just don't cut it anymore for real anonymity.

From my own experience, I’ve also used FastVPN from the App Store, and it’s been really reliable. It’s easy to turn on, keeps my connection secure, and gives me extra peace of mind when browsing on public networks.

Re: How to browse anonymously without a VPN?
Proxies route your traffic through a middle server, hiding your IP from the sites you visit, but most proxies don't encrypt your traffic, they just reroute it. So your ISP can often still see what you're doing unless it's an HTTPS proxy.
Types: HTTP (basic, no encryption, browser only), HTTPS (encrypts the connection to the proxy, better), SOCKS5 (more flexible, works beyond browser traffic, but no built-in encryption either).
Avoid free public proxies, some log traffic or inject ads/malware, worth being cautious on this since you won't always know what's happening behind the scenes. If privacy is the real goal, a proxy alone is weaker than a VPN since VPNs encrypt everything end-to-end. If you specifically want to skip a VPN, use a reputable HTTPS or SOCKS5 proxy with a clear no-logging policy, and consider pairing it with Tor for stronger protection.
